Bethel - Surely the Lord is in this Place...

“Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” — Genesis 28:16

“He feeds His flock among the lilies.” — Song of Solomon 6:3

The harp recalls David—how he poured his very soul into every note before the Lord, worshiping in spirit and in truth. The lilies rise as worshipers too, lifting their hearts without distraction, unaware of the hidden depths beneath the waters. Their only gaze is toward the King.

Yet they are not fragile. Beneath the surface, their roots are anchored deep—untouched by turbulence, unshaken by stillness. From that hidden place they rise to the light and bloom, radiant in the presence of air and glory.

Oh, how the Christian life must echo the lily: grounded in the unseen, yet ever rising to behold the face of the King.

This is Bethel—a place of holy presence, where worship flows in purity and intimacy, and every breath whispers, “Surely the Lord is in this place.”
